# The next social meeting will be in the Cambridge area on Saturday, February 10th if you are interested in coming along, contact either Countryfans or myself for more details. The social meetings are for couples only and are just a gathering of pru members in a public bar. So we’ll see you there
# Main site We are starting to get the main club site together now and you will notice that we are adding more pages.
#Quiz Winners The winners on last months quiz competition were Trev & Shell from Blackpool. Your prize is on its way. Well done guys . On the subject of the monthly quiz program our regular quizmaster Dave has just moved house and has had to resign for a while due to lack of time. We have to thank Dave for the outstanding work he has done in creating question and photos since the quiz was devised and written specially for the Prurient Club way back in 2003..
We also had a great suggestion by James one of our longstanding couples curiousndevoncpl . James has suggested that we let members take turns at being quizmaster or quizmistress for the month. Ron and I think that this is a great idea and if you are interested you can pick up the post in the Club Forum.
#Februarys big Prize Competition This month’s competition is the flash games league table with a 1st prize of an Internet controlled rabbit
I would like to thank one of our featured artists from last weeks show Phil Ayoub for taking the time to contact me and thank us for playing his track “No Heart Ache “on last weeks show. Phil if you are listening we are big fans and I’m sure we will be playing more of your music in the future.
==== Recording -5 ==== @ DIARY INTRO
Last week in Miranda’s Diary Miranda and Rob joined a new site and put their profile on it. They were contacted by what appeared to be another couple wanting to meet them but it turned out to be single man who wanted to watch them, they were not interested in that scene so they removed their profile from this site. They are now going to Jane and Peters for a barbeque.

==== Recording -8 ==== @ Xena (talks about) Media roundup Media Roundup February 4th Words 626 Turning Japanese Did anyone see the programme Kelly Osborne Turning Japanese on TV this week? This programme followed her for 5 weeks living and working in Japan doing various jobs to learn about the Japanese culture. The first job she did was working as a waitress in a Maid Café which caters for geeks and apparently there are a lot of them in Japan. Serving coffee and remembering to bow was ok for her but she didn’t want to the hand massaging service the café also provided, this was a step too far for her. Poor Kelly, it got worse the next day when she spent the day working in a Love Hotel. In Japan, where living space is at a premium and there is a lot of communal living, couples go to these Love Hotels where you can rent a room for as little as £12 a hour to around £50 for the whole day. Kelly’s was given a guided tour of the hotel and she described the smell like “someone has come in a sock and put it in the microwave” – LOVELY Room service not only included the delivery of beer and cokes but also pot noodles appear very popular pre and post coital. Yuck pot noodles - hate them. Other guests ordered sex toys to be delivered up to their room Kelly was also asked by one of the guests to take a photo of the couple. The film crew didn’t actually go into the room with her but afterwards she explained “He was tied up and blindfolded and she’s on top of him giving the victory sign and because Kelly was laughing the women got angry and said “what is the marrer with you? We velly serious? I think you’d have to maintain a sense of humour if you were doing that job all the time. Polygamy Just to illustrate to you my eclectic TV viewing I was watching the Sunday religious show Heaven and Earth and there was a report about Polygamy. This subject has previously been featured in one of our previous podshows. Apparently those who practice polygamy in the US, of which there are about 40,000, are it is being argued, are a persecuted minority in that they are not being able to openly practice what they consider to be part of their religion. Polygamy was legal in the US upto about 100 years ago when pressure from the government on the Mormon Church, caused the church to finally ban it but some Mormons continue to practice it secretly for fear of prosecution under the current laws. Apparently attitudes are changing and the Utah government is no longer prosecuting for polygamy alone. Prosecutions only take place where there are sexual offences involved. Critics of the polygamists say this is a cult based on fear and it should not be decriminalised. Young girls are coerced into this lifestyle and there is a lot of sexual abuse and child rape. One leader of these cult groups is currently being prosecuted on charges of sexual abuse and child rape. But equally the report interviewed a happy polygamous family where this man of 70 has numerous wives and children and when introducing them to the interviewer forgot some of his children’s names, which I thought was funny but I suppose it us be fairly common when you have that many children. So are they a persecuted religious minority? Or is it a lifestyle choice? Most would probably accept that consenting adults have the right to choose their own lifestyle, but with the criticisms about young girls being coerced it does put it back into the cult status. I would be interested in listeners comments on this
