- Prurient.mobi We have been working on a special mobile phone info website for the Prurient Club. This is not quite there yet but we hope that members can use it as a point of reference to find out what is going on and info on meetings etc. This website will be specially designed using the new (dot)mobi rule to make it very user friendly for mobile phones.

- Pru quiz The winners of last months quiz where 1st Trev & Shell 2nd Peter & Michelle We apologise for not getting your prizes out yet but we will post them off this week.

Apologies for not doing a podcast last week. Ron and I were really busy bank holiday weekend working on our new house. Work continues but it’s not all work and no play. Ron ordered a Hitachi Magic Wand, which arrived this week. It is actually marketed as a two-speed massager to relax sore muscles etc. However you probably may have seen it featured in hard-core BDSM movies.

So in the interests of market research we tested it out. You need to cover the vibrating head with a condom to protect it, as it is not detachable and cannot be cleaned easily. It is quite heavy as it’s mains powered so obviously its not waterproof and you cannot take it in the bathroom but it is very powerful, like 2 speeds, fast, and Wow. In fact I couldn’t bear the second speed for too long it was almost painful, but I liked the shape of the head.

It has to be imported from America but it is available from some adult toy sites such as lovehoney.co.uk who import it. It’s not cheap, at £59.99 but they do include a power adaptor from US 110 volts to 240 volts UK. Some sex toy manufacturers are now producing additional attachments for the Magic wand and these where also available through the love honey site but unfortunately out of stock when we placed our order.

Because it doesn’t look like your usual phallic vibrator it looks quite innocent in the bedroom. Equally when you are travelling and wondering about your luggage being scanned for security it’s not as obvious as the normal vibrator. So if any one has one or is planning to, we would be interested in what you think about it. In our opinion this is a classic and the daddy of all vibrators. Let us know. This is podcast no. 31. But looking through the stats we noticed that podcast 15 has had most downloads so far. This was our report from the Erotica Show held in London in November 06. So we were glad to know that this was of interest to you.

Podshow listeners may also be interested to know that in Berlin on October 18- 21 is the Venus International Trade Fair. If you are interested in going you can get more details from their website www.venus-berlin.com This year will be the 11th year of this show and Ron and I have been thinking of paying it a visit this year, that’s if we have any money left over after renovating our house. If we do get there we will certainly be doing a report for a future podcast. However if any listeners are interested in going and would be happy to write a review for the podcast that would be great.

Also in October, 5th – 7th, and nearer to home i.e. Birmingham at the National Indoor Arena is the Adults Only Show. Not sure what the tickets prices are yet but you can check out the details at www.adultsonly.com

This is a new show and will feature hundreds of specialist adult companies promoting thousands of high quality adult products. You will be able to view and buy massive selections of adult toys, DVDs, magazines, lingerie, clothing, erotic art etc. etc.

According to the adult trade journals “Uniquely for a UK exhibition the organisers are inviting adult film publishers to bring the stars of their movies on to the exhibition stand to meet the public.”

I am not sure that is unique as there are often “stars” at Erotica. However what I think is unique is they are allowing visitors to bring cameras on the floorshow “so that you can have your picture taken with a star.” Now they may be unique as you are now allowed to take cameras into Erotica.

Anyway I am assuming that Venus and the Adult Only Show are similar formula as Erotica but there’s only one way to find out and that’s to go. The emphasis on both these sites currently is to attract the traders to take up space, so there is not much information for the public on show content yet. So it’s worth keeping and eye on both these sites and we will certainly bring you any interesting news as it develops.
