I think I have quite an eclectic taste in both my TV viewing and my reading material. TV for example includes Coronation Street, Desperate Housewives, Life on Mars, Doctor Who and Balderdash and Pifle.

My reading material also goes from the Radio Times through to ETO, which stands for erotic trade only, which is the Adult Industry trade magazine. Most of the magazine is really industry related articles but they have regular column called That’s Life, which features amusing stories from the mainstream press and I thought I would read a couple of stories they have recently featured.

Getting back to the TV programmes, specifically to Balderdash and Piffle which is a BBC2 programme about getting words into or updated in the Oxford English Dictionary. They also explore the history and explanations of where words come from. Well I did tell you my tastes were eclectic. In this months Scarlet magazine they have a media review page about an X-rated episode due to be transmitted on Friday 15th June and I quote:-
